AI Disclosure

For attorney review before publishing. The statements about our AI provider reflect Anthropic's Commercial Terms as of the effective date; we will update them if Anthropic's terms change.

This AI Disclosure explains how Métier uses artificial intelligence in the Service. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

1. Where AI is used

Métier uses AI to assist sales reps with routine writing and reading tasks. AI-assisted features include:

Drafting suggested email replies and outreach, optionally matched to the rep's own writing style;
Reading replies to surface a short summary and detect actionable items (for example, a proposed meeting time, a pricing question, or a new contact);
Summaries & daily briefs that recap activity and the day ahead.

2. A human is always in the loop

AI in Métier assists; it does not act on its own. Nothing is sent, scheduled, or saved to your records automatically based on AI output. The rep reviews and approves drafts before they are sent, and confirms suggested actions (such as adding a meeting to the calendar) before they are applied. You are responsible for what you send and approve.

3. What data the AI processes

To generate a feature you request, Métier sends the relevant text to our AI provider — for example, the customer email being replied to, related context from that customer's record, the rep's writing-style samples, or activity figures for a daily brief. We send only what is needed for the requested feature, and only when the feature is used. AI features are available on all plans, subject to fair-use limits described at purchase.

4. Our AI provider

Métier's AI features are powered by Anthropic (the "Claude" models), accessed through the Anthropic API as our subprocessor. Text sent for processing is transmitted to and processed by Anthropic to return a result to you.

5. Training & data use

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell your content.
Métier accesses Claude through the Anthropic API under Anthropic's Commercial Terms. Under those terms, Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models.
Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs only as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and safety obligations, after which they are deleted in accordance with Anthropic's then-current Commercial Terms and Data Processing Addendum.

6. Turning AI off

AI features are built into the Service and run only when you use a feature that calls them (such as drafting a reply, summarizing a message, or generating a daily brief). There is currently no separate "disable all AI" control; if you prefer not to use AI, simply do not trigger those features. Daily briefs, which use AI to write a short summary, can be turned off per user in the user's profile and at the workspace level by an owner.

7. Limitations of AI-generated content

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and may "hallucinate" facts. Always review before sending or relying on it.
AI suggestions (dates, prices, contacts) are proposals for your confirmation, not verified facts.
AI output is not professional advice (legal, financial, tax, or otherwise).
You are responsible for ensuring AI-assisted communications are accurate, appropriate, and lawful, including compliance with anti-spam and advertising rules.

8. Changes

We may update this Disclosure as our AI features or providers change. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
